Anne & Rob's Costumed Wedding :: Glebe Community Centre

I was thrilled when Anne & Rob contacted me this past winter to document their wedding. They had planned a grand costume party at the  Glebe Community Centre that would have their friends and family dress up as their favourite characters. The festivities were split over two days to accommodate both the legal ceremony at Ottawa City Hall and wedding day activities.

The day started with prep at the Travel Lodge where the ladies had their hair and makeup done. Us photographers were multi-taskers, and even stepped in to curl some hair!  I was quite impressed with the bride and MOH's beautiful and personalized details, such as ribbon and broach bouquets and Anne's two amazing dresses that she dyed herself.

Though it was a hot afternoon, we were able to get portraits completed at  Brown's Inlet and took advantage of the mature trees that surrounded the lake. The couple then headed to the Glebe Community Centre for their wedding ceremony that included a hand-fasting and exchange of their own vows. So touching! The night was topped off with an awesome party with karaoke serenades, lovely jazz music from Play I do and a great assortment of cupcakes.

I'd like to extend a big thank you to my second shooter Hiba Kandalaft. Check her work out!

Anne & Rob: Congratulations and thank you again for including us on your special day. We had a blast photographing your wedding! May the life ahead of you be filled with much happiness together!

Hope you enjoy the photos!

Cheers,

Sarah
