Headshots with the talented John Dapaah

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of shooting head shots for John, a professional pianist and music teacher whose wedding I also covered last summer (see Kristina & John's Tabaret Hall wedding). The shoot was located at the Steinway showroom in Ottawa, where John was able to use one of their impressive grand pianos for both his portraits and video recordings. In addition to shots of John, we were also able to include two of his students in the photos- budding protegees!  Here are a few excerpts from our shoot:.

Ottawa Family Photographer :: Tessa's 1st Birthday Party

When Meg and Ray contacted me to cover their daughter Tessa's first birthday party, I was quite excited. Meg had a great vision for her "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" themed celebration and  had a lot of amazing do-it-herself, decorating ideas.  Meg and Ray threw a very spirited party, which even included a reading of the popular story book. They have a great set of friends and family and everyone was super excited to be celebrating Tessa's milestone. Here are few photos from the day. Enjoy!

Happy Canada Day everyone! Hope all are enjoying the nice weather, BBQs and other festivities. I'm taking part of the morning finalizing the editing flow for my last shoot. When Debbie approached me to do a couple's shoot for her birthday, I was super excited! She had told me a bit of her new boyfriend and I was looking forward to seeing them together. These two are are extremely happy with each other and it was a lot of fun capturing this on camera! Here's a few photos from our session at the Chapman Mills Conservation. Enjoy!

Ottawa Portrait Photographer :: It's HAM-mer time!

This weekend Ryan and I, along with a couple of our friends, went up to the cabin to enjoy the relaxing outdoors. C&B recently got their first puppy, an energetic Shitzu-Maltese cross, which they brought along. Affectionately named Ham, he is the cutest puppy I have ever met. He definitely enjoyed all the different smells and open land. He loved tearing around the fields, playing in the snow and getting muddy by the creek.  I got to photograph the HAMster during the weekend and along with being adorable, he's quite photogenic. Emjoy the cuteness!
